<h1 id='job_summary'>Job Summary</h1>

<p>Studios expect impeccable, timely accounting: film bookings, nightly sales tallies, royalties, and payouts. Today that workflow is powered by a patchwork of spreadsheets and custom scripts. You will build the <strong>Studio Accounting Administration System</strong>—an internal suite that evolves into a broader back-office platform for finance &amp; ops. You&#8217;ll own the full vertical slice: database schema → GraphQL API → beautiful Vue dashboards.</p>

<li>Books each film, contract terms, and revenue splits</li>

<li>Electronically reports gross sales to studios (EDI/API)</li>

<li>Calculates royalties and initiates payouts with perfect audit trails</li>

<li>Ship v1 of film-booking &amp; sales-reporting modules</li>

<li>Replace manual royalty calculations with an automated pipeline</li>

<li>Decrease month-end close time by 50% for our finance team</li>

<li>Design relational schemas and encode business rules in Rails services</li>

<li>Build GraphQL resolvers and secure REST hooks for studio integrations</li>

<li>Develop responsive Vue 3 UIs with component libraries &amp; Tailwind</li>

<li>Write Sidekiq workers to sync nightly sales and recalculate splits</li>

<li>Add tests, metrics, and feature flags so we can ship fast with confidence</li>

<li>Partner with finance + ops to turn ambiguous workflows into product specs</li>

<h1 id='who_you_are'>Who You Are</h1>

<li>4+ years <strong>full-stack</strong> experience shipping production features end-to-end</li>

<li>Deep proficiency in <strong>Ruby on Rails</strong> &amp; <strong>ActiveRecord</strong> plus modern JS (Vue, React, or similar)</li>

<li>Hands-on <strong>GraphQL</strong> (schemas, resolvers, pagination, auth)</li>

<li>Strong relational-DB chops—schema design, migrations, query tuning</li>

<li>Proven record building internal or admin tooling where <strong>correctness and auditability</strong> matter</li>

<li>Comfortable owning delivery—from whiteboard to AWS deployment—in a tiny team</li>

<li>Accounting, ERP, or royalty-reporting domain knowledge (Nice-to-Have)</li>

<li>Experience with EDI / studio APIs, Stripe Connect, or payment rails (Nice-to-Have)</li>
